“This split cassette introduces two live recordings by two duos. Both recorded at roughly the same time, in October 2015, but on different sides of the world. Ilia Belorukov (alto saxophone, electronics) & Lauri Hyvärinen’s (acoustic guitar, electronics) piece ‘Live in Helsinki’ contemplates on slowly unraveling acoustic and electric sounds, rising from the unique acoustics of a 600m2 concrete bunker. Miguel A. Garcia (electronics) & Hector Rey (violin, percussion), two Basque artists, work on their sound from a sculptural perspective: disciplined, precise and thoughtful form and dynamics. Their track ‘Live at Umbral’ was recorded live in Mexico City during their Mexican tour in 2015.”
