Destructive Locomotion Dedicated To Chizuo Matsumoto was released 1 Jan 1995. MSBR (Molten Salt Breeder Reactor), aka Koji Tano, was a noise solo project from Tokyo, one of the most respected noise artists to emerge from Japan’s vibrant noise/experimental music scene of the 90’s. He played with countless other musicians and toured on 4 continents (Asia, Europe, North America and Australia). Much of his material was self-released on his own labels, one of which was dedicated to the production of limited edition cassette releases.
This edition is the re-release one from RRR on generic cut/paste covers.
Possibly one of the best works in the genre, and certainly some of the best I’ve heard from the highly respected, late, great, Koji Tano. Churning, high energy bass swirls and explosions mix with thick foghorn feedback shrills and assorted skree in an epic composition intent on building a black hole between your ears to suck away your brain.
