Paul Abbott and Daichi Yoshikawa are two of the most interesting young improvising musicians currently based in London. Using a variety of inverted, diverted and reinvented electronic and acoustic devices they strike a constantly evolving balance between harsh atonal feedback and elegant high-frequency constructions.
This disc is in distinct “evening” and “daytime” sections, the “evening” comprised of an excellent live recording of the duo made in April 2009 at Cafe OTO by Sebastian Lexer, with the “daytime” section represented by a short, silent experimental video with the same name.
The disc is therefore “mixed-media” with the video section in .mov quicktime format.
Pro-CDr, card stock sleeve, limited to 100 copies only.
